vgc puts it around 750k WW and every source I could find had about the same.

EDIT2: However, <2m still fits "Well Killzone 1 didn't sell all that great". That is definitely at the bottom of the barrel for FPS games.

Nothing catastrophic would happen.

Resistance 2 is has a lot of recent hype, but I never realized so many of you were looking forward to Killzone 2.

I put it about Haze level hype, with the understanding that it very well could flop.


So yeah, Sony would lose some money, but they have plenty of it. The hard truth is FPS has some really stiff competition, and average games like Prey get flamed.

Also, reviewers, for some reason, like with Too Human, can't wait to flame this game. They want it to be bad. LBP and Resistance 2, they will automatically give excellent scores, because of their previews. However, they have an itch out to hate on Killzone 2, just because they feel that Sony used the game to lie about what its console was capable of early on.


Killzone 2, unlike most other Sony exclusives, does not have a good relationship with the entheusiast press. It is also in a very strict genre. In all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if the game was reviewed poorly, as I doubt it will hit AAA due to simple spite from a few reviewers.
