Link technically only carries 3 (according to N64) items on him at a time. You need to pause to pull the other items out. Pause is like a time out which Kratos wouldn't let link have. Link definatlly doesn't have all his items at his disposal at all times.

thats just it if link hits pause kratos is at his mercy b/c he wouldnt be able to move

And the same couldn't happen with the Lightning arrows?

@Obliterator WHich means he could carry more than 3 items like a normal person if we use our Laws of Physics and not based off a the games.
