Forums - Gaming - The Next big flop

It seems that with recent reviews, Too Human is going to be meh at best.  We all know about Haze and Lair but what do you think will be the next big flop?  My candidates are I Am Alive and M.A.G.

Pixel Art can be fun.

I would think that M.A.G. is going to be awesome, it is certainly a great concept. My guess for next big flop? Imagine my Secret World for the Wii. I saw a preview for that game in Gamestop and I can't imagine a big enough shovel exists in all the world though that kind of goes for every Imagine game ever.

How can you say I Am Alive when we know next to nothing about it other than it is a realistic survival game.

There's just something about that makes me think it might flop.  Bad Example, but it's like when something seems so good, it's too good to be true.

Little Big Planet=100x too good to be true but here's hoping! I really really really want that game to be everything it seems like it can be.

I'm thinking it could be Spore. The game has been hyped so long and the concept is hard to grasp. I'm not even sure what audience it's supposed to appeal to.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Fatal Frame IV. It's hard to tell considering the marketing campaign isn't far enough along... but I just don't think it'll have the steam or the positive press to be a largely selling game.

In my opinion, it seems pretty broad.  Sci-Fi fans can enjoy discovering and destroying planets.  Artsy people can build cities and entire planets for that matter along with these critties.  Kids can make creatures and make them do crazy activities.  I could go on but I believe I've made my point.

I'd have to agree with you.

For all it's perceived cuteness, it seems to be quite a complex game, and whether or not the large majority of PC gamers are willing to put the effort into getting the most out of it or just play it to create an intergalactic phallus-shaped empire and no more is going to be interesting to see.

Sure, people will buy it (and fast in the beginning) but I have a feeling that this will have more legs as a cult game in the long run than a must-buy now.

That said, I'd love a console port!
