Impressions from IGN:

One area of the game did manage to disappoint us even in our short play time, though. On a visual level, Afrika has some major framerate issues. The game is consistently choppy. While it's true that there's a lot of detail in the world along with a full day-night cycle, not having a smooth visual engine does sort of take you out of the fantasy of existing in this virtual recreation of Africa.

major issues? that makes this game a definate failure then.  it would completely ruin the experience

So it's Sony's response to Endless Ocean, then? Hm. I think I like the idea behind Endless Ocean better, to be honest...

Except it's not.

1. That would be Aquanauts. That was based on Afrika but is underwater.

2. Afrika was announced around the same time, if not earlier then Endless Ocean was. It's just a lot harder to make prestine graphics for areas that are actually hit by sunlight.

1. Aquanauts is actually a remake of a ps1 title by the same name, but you are right that it is very similar to Endless Ocean.

2. Afrika was announced at E306, while Endless Ocean was announced at E307.

If you're going to be petty and accuse someone of copying, at least accuse the right people...

... You're kidding, right? I mean, the people who're saying this looks like a good game, even now?

Don't tell me you didn't enjoy Pokemon Snap back in the day. :P

Though Pokemon are way cooler than Zebras and Hippos...

In all honesty I have no intention of getting this game.  A Pokemon Snap 2, however...

Make it happen Nintendo!

I get the picture but without knowledge of Japanese language that's just too damn wrong..

Anyway I can't agree more about the ad being so damn wrong in terms of taking a quick look.

Sorry I just fancied posting here as the thread creator has a good pic of the Suikoden II main character. They gotta release that game again :(

On topic...

Indiana Jones and the lost Elephant! :D

Good to see this site is still going

I most definitely did (it was far too short though), but this doesn't look nearly as much fun.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Consoles owned: Game Cube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3.

My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.
