Battlefield 2 would have been one of the greatest games ever if they had just fixed the bugs and imbalances in a timely fashion, rather than trying to milk the customer into buying expansion packs. Every BF games after BF2 has been a huge disappointment.

The BF franchise had the potential to beat COD but EA totally squandered the opportunity. How can EA screw things up so badly?

All I want is a big multiplayer system with plenty of vehicles and strategy elements. Is that too much to ask for? Just running around buildings with a gun is not enough.

I accually know what you mean, I'm not a big fan of FPS games but Battlefield 1942 and 2 are freaking sweet games if you overlook the sometimes crappy multiplayer, but since I played them almost exclusivly single player it didn't hurt me much. I do not like 2142 though, it felt dull and got old really quick for me for some reason.

I think you answered your own question. EA is the king of milking, and abandoning products after they have sold. With Ubisoft close behind.

It's EA, their tagline should be "Destroy Everything". The PC Battlefield games have traditionally been known for buggy launches & patches that don't really fix anything and often create more problems.

Some of my favorite gaming moments were raiding enemy airfields and blowing up cocky pilots as they boarded their aircraft. Those planes were so overpowered I had to take revenge!
