I decided to make this thread because I don't want to derail another thread or demean the poster that brought up the subject.  I in no way have anything against him or his opinion.  Basically Apple was the topic of discussion and the product AppleTV came up.

To me, AppleTV is the biggest piece of shit, newest and most diabolical scheme yet.  On the Evil Meter Apple gained another 10 points over Microsoft (no inference to XBOX360 & fans) and we all knoe Microsoft is above the clouds.

So this thread is.. can anyone tell me is there anything even remotelly redeeming about this product at all.  I don't get it.  Lets pay money for free TV shows.  Lets buy a box that would elsewise be provided by our service plan.  What about the new fruity demonspwned fad unit is worthwhile even in the least?

No...Apple TV actually sucks that bad.

The new AppleTV is slightly better than the old one.

With that said, it's still a pointless ripoff.
