Get it for the Wii, it's by far the best version.  The only downside is after playing RE4:Wii you'll wonder why every other shooter doesn't play like that.

If he can only buy 2-3 games is RE4 really the one you'd recommend if he already played through the GC version?

 

Personally, I don't agree (having played both) and I like the RE series and RE4 (for differenet reasons).  Though if he is a really really big RE fan then I might.  THere are just so many other games.

That being said if OP can swing 3 games I'd recommend:

First pick two: Mario Kart, Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB\

Second get several cheap used games instead of a third: Zack and Wiki, Elebits, No More Heroes, RE4, Geometry Wars, etc.



I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

wow! thanks all of you for your suggestions! seems that the SMG/SSBB/MKWii trio is a good option.

I will take note of other games that may come out, like De Blob and Animal Crossing that seems fun and interesting. Other games like the Okami, RE4Wii and DQS may buy them when they are cheap or second handed.

And I wouldn't rule out Wii fit hehe but is kinda expensnve like Guitar Hero 3

I may also "sacrifice" one of the games and buy 2 games and a wireless router to play online =) but we'll see.
