In a previous Madden prediction topic and the reasons he gave is he has the data and you don't.

Yeah and he had data for hardware that didn't stop 360 numbers from being incredibly off from NPD for July (and numerous other months over the last year for different systems). It also didn't stop Call of Duty 4 for 360 being undertracked by 600k for 2 consecutive months when it came out. There's numerous other examples like that of inconsistency.

You'll have to wait until the August NPD comes out to see if the numbers are close.

I think you guys are underestimating the Wii and his huge install base.

I'm pretty sure Madden Wii will be in second place in the next NPD numbers... definitely above the PS3 version.

As for this week, I really don't know.

 I agree 100% the Wii will finish in second. But I don't believe it will happen this NPD, it might not even happen until the holidays. It will be the biggest Madden in November & December. I think it could come in fourth this NPD, even behind the PS2. It will sell most copies via legs.

That said I think it will have the best legs of all versions in the long run, putting it in second place, with the PS3 close behind in third...

I think Wii's first week for Madden will be a little bit bigger then most of your predictions... Wii @ 150k while PS3 @ 350k is just rediculous... Not happening!

I'm guessing (and more or less hoping) for Madden Wii to open 200k+... PS3 Madden Somewhere around 300-350k seems right and 700-800k for 360 too. PS2 and Wii will be close in opening week.

First NPD-data: (In order of largest sales to smalest) X360, PS3, PS2/Wii (tied), DS, PSP.

End of the year: X360, PS3/Wii (tied), PS2, DS, PSP.

Wii version will be slower off the blocks but will have a stronger kick and race past the PS3 version LTD for sure. Not sure about the PS2 version. Won't outsell the XBox360 version though.

Next NPD won't have Wii sku selling better than PS3 sku though. If so, I'd be very suprised.
