I'm on my second console due to drive failure, not RROD. Hopefully, things get taken care of. I am hoping it will last during my stay in Japan (Sep. - Feb.)

No, they have 360's. Before the chip redesigns Microsoft admited that every 360 sold previous will RROD. Just a mater of time.
Microsoft has admitted that every one of the 11.6 million Xbox 360 consoles sold in the past 19 months suffers from a design flaw that could cause the device to fail.
OT, good luck and God Speed, hopefully they wont just refurb that bad boy and send it back. ;)
I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.
