So I hear all about the director from FF12 now working at Nintendo and working with Miyamoto on a new RPG. Is there actually a source for this?

If true, I hope it is nothing like FFXII. Hopefully Miyamoto will work his charm with it, and it isn't like FFXII. :)

Miyamoto? RPG? im pretty sure thats the genre he hates most. hence no proper RPG in nintendo franchises. though saying that mario has been in a few RPGs so mayb its one of them. not sure since we already got paper mario. i hope its true though

You do know that in the early days of Zelda it was actually considered an Action Rpg right? Anyway more examples of rpgs from Nintendo are Golden Sun, Mario and Luigi, Soma Bringer, A.S.H and Pokemon. So I don't know why you get the idea that he hates RPGs. Maybe Nintendo wants to get more games in that Genre.

Edit: ALso Monolith Soft  are owned by Nintendo now.

I love Rpg's and it's great that Wii is getting more and more rpg's because it's clearly lacking in that area. By the end of the Generation i Hope that it will have as much to offer in terms of RPG's as the other consoles.

Sounds good. The world needs more RPGs with gameplay that doesn't suck.
