If it's anything like the first game Blue magic is overpowered.

Bad Breath rules all.

It's been nerfed for the second game.

Damn.  Figured it would be... did they lower it's success rate or only make it one effect?

Turning your opponent into a poisoned, frog, that was asleep, was just too awesome... sure you didn't always get that combo... but even one of the three was enough.

Bad Breath effects: BLIND, SILENCE, and POISON

The hit rate seems to be totally different.

It seems to be based on the job the target has.

Blue mage, for example, has 65% natural resist against status effects. While, Black mage has 40%.

So, a naked Blue mage, you have only 35% to hit using any kind of status effect.

All status effects seems to have the same % across the board. So, that kind of make the lesser status effects absolete as soon as you get the new one.

But... if the status effect is part of a skill that also does damage. It seems to have higher chance for the status effect to kick in. However, you won't be able to see the % since the only thing shown is the damage tohit.
