a new Dune game would be great. One that goes deep into the story.

damn I hope that is true.
too bad Jordan died.... I usually made some joke that he probably die before he finished the series... and then the bastard go and die by some damn rare blood disease 
Lucky for us he had started the last book and probably also finsihed the last chapters, wich means the author they have picked to finish it just have to tie up the begininng and end.
He then also had several meetings with friends and family explaining what will happen, who will die, etc etc
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
