I think we will see the 360 at 6k for a while, but probably not 8-9k. They are getting their foot in the door and the Japanese may take the console more seriously instead of being the LOL Halo / FPS console it was before.

Didn't the ps3 sell more copies of a game as bad as Enchanted Arms despite been on the 360 firsrt? I bought it for ps3 also because I'm a JRPG whore but I won't be buying a new console for ANY game not even if FFXIII became 360 exclusive. I've ben learning to branch out to other genre's and its been rewarding so far (cod4 comes to mind).
I usually stick to one console per gen except maybe very late in the gen when the console's cost is a nonentity because I also have space to consider and I really don't have the time to play that many games so I'm actually better off with single console restrictions lol

+1 to FinalEvangelion. Sustained hardware sales might not be as important an effect from ToV as MS simply getting its foot in the door in Japan.
No offense guys, but Microsoft will not get the Japanese audience at all with the 360. Sure securing an exclusive or two will laud them in the short term of a week, but this game has no where to go but DOWN.
Does anyone remember what happened Blue Dragon came out? A huge number of 360s were bought, and suddenly a week after, a HUGE number of 360s were traded in.

So is Blue Dragon. Blue Dragon had the PERFECT pedigogee of Japanese interests. It had a media blitz. It had the creators of Final Fantasy, Panzer Dragoon, and Chrono Trigger working on ONE game. It was everywhere. It sold relatively well, than came back in to the used dump.

Microsoft does pay for alot of its games more then usual. If anyone of you act like thats a bad thing, you really ought to get your head unstuck from wherever it is. Sony did it when they first started, and Microsoft is the newbies to the console wars this gen, and now they need it. its what you have to do to get a console started.
@talking parrot: 360 has already outsold Xbox 1 in japan. Looks like its working to me. if you thought they would instantly have an audience in Japan just like that, your dilusional. It takes time. Being an American company doesn't help they're case either. They are doing the best anyone could have this fast.

It probably will. Tales isn't near as big as Final Fantasy. It truly is the largest RPG series in existance, so it may be to be expected.
