Forums - Microsoft - Horrible new videos from Infinite Undiscovery...

Yesterday was the first day i ever actually took a look at Infinite Undiscovery. And now im pi**ed. Tales of Vesperia AND Infinite Undiscovery, just 5 days from each other?

OH COME ON.

At least on a slightly brighter note whenever a gamer is done with with one of these JRPGs they'll probably want another one. So it may be a win win situation.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

They are horrible because Microsoft is forcing me to buy 2 games in 2 weeks that will force me and my fiancee to have no life for the next 3 months.

What were you expecting? Something less than the best RPGs this generation? :)

May have missed it somewhere in the thread, but whats the other game you're buying?

Castle Crasher because Microsoft is the evil and charging 1200 points!

Seriously, I think he talk about Tales of Vesperia.  I am probably going to pick IU over ToV.

The game looks like fun if you are into these sort of action RPG's. But a thing that keeps coming up in my head is will this game have the bad loading and frame rate problems that LO had. The same thing could be said for LR coming out later this year, and i know that's made with the Unreal engine like LO.

Didn't tri-Ace say that loading times would be nonexistant in IU due to the seamless nature of the game?

The worst case scenario for the framerate issues is that it is noticable but still easy enough to overloook.

The recent IGN preview said that the framerate is dodgy, but the game is still promising

It's not like a choppy framerate is the worst thing in the world. I remember a certain Team ICO game that had a choppy framerate but still managed to get mostly AAA scores from publications. Also, games like Lair and Haze were bad because of bad game design, not because of bad framerates. Also, unless the framerate issues are as bad as say, Killzone, then I doubt the issues will do much harm to the game(if any). Also, all of the other aspects of the game: gameplay and story in particular look very promising

EDIT:Just like to add that Killzone also suffered from poor AI, gliches, and short draw distances

Even if the technical issues weren't there, Mass Effect's combat would still be bad.  IU's gameplay on the other hand, seems very promising.  Also, framerate issues seem to be the only technical issue in IU.  Mass Effect had that along with disrupting loading times and tons of texture pop in.  Also, a lot of the critics noted these issues but still gave it a very high score *looks over to IGN*

Well, I don't.  That game was overhyped IMO
