I think IU has a better chance in America and Europe since if past Tales games are of any indication, ToV won't have much marketing.  Also, I heard that many people are choosing IU over ToV(atleast in the West anyway).

I don't mind the English VA in the cutscenes, that's tolerable.  The English voices during battles suck at shouting attacks.  Shouting the name of attacks tend to sound really cool in Japanese but a lot of the times, really lame in English.

The framerate doesn't seem to be that big of a problem since the so called framerate issues are more than likely intential to make the big attacks have more impact.

The Japanese VA is top notch(considering the little knowledge of Japanese anyway).

Is it just me or does the framerate look choppy?

The framerate isn't that bad.  In fact, I'd say it is pretty tolerable.  Let's take SotC for example, that game had many framerate issues but it didn't ruin the experience.  I'd say that although not perfect, the framerate is good enough that although noticeable, it won't ruin the game overall. i.e. same thing with Lost Odyssey

Looks pretty good. I'll be getting this day 1 and wait for a price drop on ToV.

But the voice acting in SO2 was awesome! It was so horrid, it was actually good.. "THIS LOOKS BAD!" and "BE CAREFUL!" are two of the cooler battle intro lines I think.. oh, and the very fakey "I'm so happy!" line after leveling up.. classic!

Yeah, I'm starting to warm up to the horridness of it all and it's just so damn hilarious. I think "TEEEEAAARRR INTO PIECES!" is going to be joined in the hall of fame relatively quickly by "INNUENDO DIIIIVE!"

May have missed it somewhere in the thread, but whats the other game you're buying?

I was worried for a second, but this game does look great, and IGN just had some positive hands on time, but the framerate was dodgy
