Burnout Paradise, rated E10+ by the ESRB and 3+ by PEGI, is currently available worldwide on PS3 and Xbox 360, and will be available for download on PSN.

I find it ironic that while Microsoft is boasting about how downloadble content is the future of the industry and that Sony is the only one actually usng it.

Sony is the only one doing something about it? That's funny because as I recall Micrsoft had Xbox Live up and running a year before the PS3 came out. Microsoft also keeps a steadier stream of games coming on XBox Live than Sony does on PSN. It's funny how you say this in the middle of Summer of Arcade, which is Microsoft's big XBLA marketing push. Five weeks of five of the biggest XBLA releases yet. While Sony lazely puts together a pathetic package of PSOne classics, Microsoft gives gamers the Xbox Originals they actually want to buy. Then again, it's funny that Sony is getting credit for a move done by a third party developer and publisher. Maybe you hadn't heard but Burnout Paradise isn't a Sony game.

I know Burnout is not made by Sony, it's made by Criterion games. I just thought it was ironic that Microsoft is being outperformed by Sony in the realm of downloadable games due to the fact that Microsoft sets a limit on the amount of space a developer can use to create a game.

I don't see any full games on XBLA marketplace though. All I see is a bunch of cheap and pathetic over-priced games that have no creativity or value. I would rather have a select few high-quality games on PSN than a bunch of shit games thrown at me every week with a 15 dollar price tag.

That sentence is possibly the single stupidest thing I have had the displeasure of reading on this forum. The rest of the paragraph is a close runner-up, though.

I think it's ironic that there is a preponderance of Sony fans who can't just be jazzed about Sony doing something that they like unless they can use it to bash the 360 (this thread, the one about LBP "embarrassing" Live, etc). And by "ironic," I mean "lame as fuck."

The last couple of months:

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
Pixel Junk Monsters
Siren Blood Curse
Pixel Junk Eiden

The Next few weeks:
Ratchet and Clanck Q4B
Socom Comfrontation
Burnout Paradise
Wipeout HD

All high quality titles that MS has not even tried to match with XBL. That is the point people are trying to get across. Sony is putting out high quality products on PSN, and quality is much better than quantity.

Listing GT5 and Siren I can understand. But saying that XBL is matching games like Eden and Monsters is foolish.

please show me innovative titles like Eden or top class Tower Defences like Monsters on XBL? how about flOw or the upcoming game flower? Didnt think so. Sony and Nintendo are the only companies that innovations like Eden, Fat Princess, Wii Play, WiiFit, etc comes to.

All I can say is way cool. Good to see trophy support as well. I already have the game but it's great to see updates continuing with this that are full of content, yet free!

And rumble support for those who apparently can't live without it O_o. I played Super Stardust HD with the dualshock 3 and felt rather uncomfortable with the sudden shock of the controller rumbling like crazy with everything exploding on the screen.

It felt like a waste of the battery.

I wasn't bashing the 360. I was bashing microsoft for snuffing out innovation and creativity in almost every game  they release.

As SSJ12 has already stated have you seen any genuinely creative games released on XBLA such as Flow, Flower, or Pixeljunk Eden? I think not.

I think it is rediculous the restrctions that they place on developers. As for LBP embarassing Xbox Lve, it will and already has.

$30 for the full game + all the updates? I'm definitely going to buy it

To Xbox Live's defense here, the 'embarrassment' article was merely stating that with Unreal Tournament 3 and Little Big Planet offering custom content through mods or user created levels, it could force Microsoft's hand into changing some things to also allow custom content (not talking about XNA)

The irony is awesome.

Hadn't noticed the lack of rumble support in the game before. I ordered a white shock controller from Play-Asia when they first came out. Will have to check that out tonight.

Anyway, glad I never off loaded this game. It's fun and it's getting more reasons to play again. Trophies make a big difference and it's the reason why many of my friends re-acquistioned Uncharted :)

Has Paradise got the equivalent trophy (achievement support) already on the 360 version? I thought there was some controversy with the 360 version in that it required a HDD install.

My mate checked out the 360 demo of this and thought it was cool. So no, I am not trying to diss it on 360 :)
