You cannot compare like for like, seeing as PS3 WILL take more man power and longer to build than Wii games.

Anyway, seeing as someone earlier was talking about the lack of important big named games for the PS3, I would like to know the "big" games for the Wii. 

It doesn't by any chance include Galaxy and Brawl?  Nice variation there! 

 As opposed to the FF13's and MGS4's? Those are more variation? I dont think so. They are all sequels of games that date back to the NES. Each and every one of them, including metal gear. Fact is it doesnt matter if you dont see any variation in Galaxy and Brawl. The fact still remains that they are the BIG games, just like MGS FF Halo etc. Established and reliable hardware movers (MetalGear not so much, but thats a whole nother conversation and I dont feel like grabbing the charts and crap to show it).

But really the problem with what you wrote is this, your talking about big games for PS3 and Wii.

But davygee, that's not the point of the off-topic arguement. The arguement is about wether or not Sony has more teams and more first-party support than Nintendo for their respective consoles. ckmlb provided games, totalling 31 games being made from Sony and its second parties. I refuted that point by showing proof that 45 Wii first party (maybe more if Iwata meant only first party and not second party) are in the works. It's a completely different arguement about if the games are going to be better or not. It just shows that Nintendo is showing more game support for its console, even though it is easier to make Wii games than PS3 games.

And then you'll say that's obvious because it's easier, but you know, shouldn't 100 teams around the world be making more games? If Sony has more teams than Nintendo, then it should be making a comparable amount of games right? Well, that's not the case.

I agree with Davygee. You quoted 45 Wii first party titles without any kind of context to them. For all we know some of them might be Wiiware titles or old Gamecube titles with tacked on Wii controls requiring only teams of 5-6 people compared to teams of 20-50 (or more) for a major game.

Do you honestly think they have the same number of development studios and teams that Sony has?

Until you list those 45 games and we can figure out what the teams would be needed in order to make them the number is useless.

im writing on my wii, so i´ll make it short...
I ask again.,. if sony has more game studios, where are the games? and dont start counting games in development again... i´m talking about released games, besides what matters is really quality and not quantity. You know why nintendo is the most successful developer and publisher? because they sell the most games. you got 31 games over the next 2 years from sony? thats great... i can only guess 1 nintendo game will get more playing hours than most of those games combined.
And excuse me if you find my words harsh, but when I readed you discussion about "bigger" development studios, I couldn't help but to make you notice the reality of game sales numbers vs games development numbers.

im only saying that it matters more than how many people work in a game or how big your studios are... still, I really think NINTENDO is bigger anyways, they work on more than 120 games for both the Wii and the Ds, and Satoru Iwata stated that was only first party, even if the games need half the people4 for wii, nintendo studios publishes more than double than sony studios does (from the lists you al provided plus nintendo´s second party games...

Anyway, we should go back to the topic....PS3 pricecut?

 I'm sticking with: a pricecut is good for the PS3, bad for Sony. Kind of a tough situation to be in :/

it looks attractive( how much is one blueray movie anyway) and at the same time shows off how good blueray's quality is..

and since E3 is just around the corner people wholl get interested will have to act right away to get the free movies..

 what do you guys think?.
