I'd be positive on the Agency if it were made by anyone other than SOE. They are on my all time sh*t list for the crap they pulled with SWG.

I'm sure you would cause you have been very objective about many other PS3 games in the past.

There are plenty of people much less objective than me that you've never singled out like this.

So I question your objectivity as well.

frankly your truly one of the worst posters here, I dont go around "That mario game is complete garbage, it wont play right at all because its not on the system I like."

Plus SOE changed SWG due to them losing tons of players to WoW so they tried to compete. Cant blame them for trying to get players back. Its called business. Learn it, if you see a ton of people going to one type of gameplay you will try to take that gameplay and modify it and place it in the game you lost the game thats losing the most users.

From what I've seen in The Agency the game looks great, and plays great from what has been shown. And yes a good chunk of what was shown was real gameplay.

Yeah, but they don't pretend to be objective. Don't worry I'm not singling you out personally, I attack anyone who is a basher :)

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I still maintain that unless Sony drop the price to a $400 price point the different will not make that much difference, the best price for them is $300, and I don't think their business model allows for the console to drop in price until 1/2 or 2/3 of the way through next year, and I doubt that they will do it until then.

A price drop of $100 isn't going to do shit, and that's the pickle they are in.

Any price drop will make some difference. I predict bundles in the future of North America just like the upcoming Hot Shots bundle in Japan and the Motorstorm bundle in Europe.

ssj12, he never said anything like "That mario game is complete garbage, it wont play right at all because its not on the system I like" or its equivalent either.  Lay off the personal attacks, FishyJoe wasn't out of line at all, you don't need start throwing insults around.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Can someone dig up that article from the sony guy a while back. Said they were going to effect the price of the PS3 in an alternate way soon. To me that sounds like they arent going to price drop but modify things to attempt and help their sales. That just screams bundle to me. PS3 stays same price or drops $50 and you get a game thrown in with it. Thats their best bet for lowering the price without completely fanny raping their quaterly results for the future year or so.

I think sony needs to try and drop the price to make it affordable, will they is another question and by how much? I would like for it to be the same price as the xbox360 however they may lose too much money for that to happen, they may take a nintendo route and just stick with the price and be happy with 3rd place. I think with a 50$ price cut wont realy do much for sales.

I absolutely and totally agree. I came to the same conclusion.

People who think a price drop for the PS3 is a no-brainer are probably Playstation fans, not Sony fans. Which is to say -- they aren't particularly concerned about the welfare of the parent company, so long as PS3 sales get better. I think some people even go so far as to think that Sony's Movie, Television, Camera, and Audio divisions exist to provide finances for the gaming division; that the profits that the other divisions make should be entirely channeled into strengthening the Playstation brand. They could all burn as long as it means the Playstation stays strong.

Sony's stockholders probably wouldn't feel the same way.

The best solution is to include a game bundled in. This increases the value of the system without actually increasing production cost (well, not by much).

Allow me to say something that (surprisingly) everyone has forgotten to say.

Nintendo said 2 months back (1 month?) that they were in fact developing (aprox., since I don't remember the exact number) 39-50 Wii games and 79 (this one I remember) DS games.

When you compare the number of Wii games to PS3 games (23, as stated by ckmlb) then it's a lot more games, you know. So how exactly does Sony have more teams? :p

And don't say more games will be revealed at E3 because the same is true for Nintendo, especially after they said SSBB wouldn't be playable so that they can focus on new games.

31 games, not 23.

Also list me the 50 Wii games that Nintendo is working on.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Sorry, got confused with the number. >_>

And no, I didn't say they were 50 games, I said 40-50 games, perhaps 39 was the number I think.

I cannot name the games because it was a press conference (I think) and Satoru Iwata said there were so many games in development for Wii and so many games in development for DS. He didn't name any though. Let me search the article for a second.

Ok, found it. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6169875.html?tag=result;title;0

"Nintendo developing 124 games"

"President Satoru Iwata tells the Bloomberg news service some 79 DS, 45 Wii first-party titles are in the works."

Ok, there you go. It's actually 45 Wii first-party titles (meaning there are more, considering second party. However, I think he also means second party.) Those are the words of the president of the company.

And if you combine DS games with Wii games, it's 124 games...damn. Sony doesn't have more teams than Nintendo, it seems.
