If they have so many teams, why so few games?

Few games?

Let's look at the Sony games in development right now for the PS3 only (1st and 2nd party):

Guerilla is developing Killzone 2

Team Ico is developing an unnamed PSN game to be revealed at TGS or E3.

Sony Santa Monica is early in God of War 3 development.

SOE is making The Agency that should have a big E3 showing.

Polyphony is working on Gran Turismo 5.

Insomniac are making Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction and have stated that they will be working on Resistance Fall of Man 2 after that.

Naughty Dog is making Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and has a Jak and Daxter: Lost Frontier game listed for 2008.

Sony Liverpool Sutudios is making Wipeout HD (downloadable) and the next real Wipeout sequel.

Zipper is making the next real Socom sequel (not the downloadable one).

Slant Six Games is making Socom Confrontation (Downloadable MP game).

Factor 5 is almost done with Lair.

Sony Japan is gonna release Folklore in the US and Europe this year and is finishing Hot Shots Golf 5 and is probably going to show the PS3 Locoroco soon.

Quantic Dream is making Heavy Rain.

Ninja Theory is almost done with Heavenly Sword.

Sony London Studios is working on The Getaway and the PS3 Singstar.

Sony San Diego is making NBA 08.

Incognito is finishing up Warhawk and is reportedly working on a Twisted Metal next gen game.

SCE also finishing Eye of Judgment.

SCEA making High Velocity Bowling.

Media Molecule is making LittleBigPlanet.

Level 5 is making White Knight Story.

Sucker Punch Productions has an unnamed project in the works (maybe Sly Cooper 4).

(Edit) forgot to mention the following games: Eight Days (SCEA) and Eyedentify (SCE) that haven't been shown in a while and should have new info on them E3 or TGS.

That's 22 Groups working on 31 PS3 exclusive 1st and 2nd party games off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others that haven't been revealed yet or that I forgot to mention.

That's really no impressive considering how far spaced out they're going to be and how poorly most will probably sell given the PS3's bad market saturation. Again another case of a Sony Fanboy boasting up the smallest of things. I mean wow, High Velocity Bowling, there's a killer app. You show em Sony.

You said there are no games I pointed out all the games that are coming out on PS3 from Sony. Yes of course a downloadable game like High Velocity Bowling is what PS3's hopes are pinned on completely. Douche.

All those games come out in the next two years. Now that you made it abundantly clear that you have no idea how many Sony games are in the works, you move to attack games that you know nothing about and mock a downloadable game as not a big seller lol quite the sad display Gballzack.

Another case of someone pointing out the BS in someone else's claim of few games coming out from Sony and 2nd parties. I suppose I should try to cater the list of games to your tastes? That would be quite impossible when you are here to bash anything and everything related to this system.

Also, expect to add a lot more games to that list at E3 and TGS this year.

Stfu and accept that you were talking out of your ass when asking: 'why so few games?'

I mean wow, High Velocity Bowling, there's a killer app. You show em Sony. The Agency? Yeah, I'm sure having never heard of it the thing will be amazing. Socom, oh boy, there's a system seller. Folklore... never heard of it. Hotshots Golf, oh boy, do I smell killer app, lol. Heavy Rain, another no-namer. The Getaway and SingStar, wow, you show em Sony. NBA 08, a sports game, great, just what we need. Twisted Metal, that game's hype hasn't dried up at all. Eye of Judgement, oh no, look out Pokemon. Little Big Planet, looks fun, Locoroco, looks fun, not system sellers though.

So out of 30 games there are only 5-7 anyone not already owning a Ps3 would care about. Wow, you sure showed me. Hey let's see how the game sales do before we get excited about non-existant franchises.

I hate to break it to ya but the only games regular gamers care about are God of War, FFXIII and MGS4.

End of 2007 Predictions:

Wii =18m

360=14m

PS3=7m

DS=64m

PSP=30m

What can I say to this load of BS? Pretty much nothing, but it's good to see that you are making up that Sony is trying to have a massive hit with a budget downloadable game like High Velocity Bowling.

If you don't know about the games, maybe you should reasearch them instead of sitting here and typing a bunch of crap about stuff you don't know anything about. No-namer new franchises? Imagine that... I thought all franchises started famous before they even existed.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Ackmed, you need to chill out. You dont have to like Sony, but you cant just state your opinion as fact. Just because you dont know anything about The Agency doesnt mean its crap. I think its gonna rock, though I still think it might go multiplatform. Ease up on the bashing or things will get nasty.

And no calling people douches...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

And sorry about the lack of punctuation, my apostrophe key is messed up.

The Agency actually does sound like it would appeal very strongly on the MGS4 levels. It sounds appealing to the hardcore gamers.

Every console needs a solid line up of sports titles. If they weren't making any then that would cost them a massive chunk of their audience. They aren't system sellers individually. If Sony didn't have any that would cost them about 60% of their console sales.

I too am a little bit annoyed that Sony people keep on listing downloadable content in their game lists. No matter how good they are, they will never be system sellers. That just won't happen. As a whole, if the PSN games didn't exist that would cost them, or if they didn't churn games out very fast that would also cost them.

I'd be positive on the Agency if it were made by anyone other than SOE. They are on my all time sh*t list for the crap they pulled with SWG.

 The Agency can't go multiplatform, it's published and eveloped by Sony (developer studip is SOE Seattle).

 I'm sure you would cause you have been very objective about many other PS3 games in the past.

I still maintain that unless Sony drop the price to a $400 price point the different will not make that much difference, the best price for them is $300, and I don't think their business model allows for the console to drop in price until 1/2 or 2/3 of the way through next year, and I doubt that they will do it until then.

A price drop of $100 isn't going to do shit, and that's the pickle they are in.

There are plenty of people much less objective than me that you've never singled out like this.

So I question your objectivity as well.
