So perhaps they've optomized the game a little better? I'm also wondering if we'll be able to tweak the files like with Crysis to bypass any artificial limitations.

What are you basing that on? Both sets of requirements look the same, aside from the amount of hard drive space needed.

"When the original Crysis released in late 2007, it raised the bar for graphics. However, since the graphics were so impressive, the system requirements intimidated many PC owners who didn't have killer gaming rigs. The German developer is attempting to alleviate that fear to reach a wider install base.

Yerli told German publication PCGames.de to expect Warhead to run any where from 30-35 frames per second at high settings on a $620 rig.

While Yerli said Warhead's optimizations were possible to implement in the original Crysis, it would take a lot of time and resources away from Warhead, which is the company's main priority at the moment."

Yeah, I remember reading something similar as well. Presumably, it just runs better (higher framerate/ quality) on the same system compared to Crysis. I'm a bit surprised they didn't design it to run on lower system specs though. Still, I suppose it is a year on since the original and a lot of people will have upgraded since.

Those specs don't seem as spectacular as they did last year. Except for the VRAM and video card, my laptop could run that. and it has Windows Vista.....

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

I guess you could play it on ''Extreme'' now, that's if it's really, really optimized this time (like Valve did with their Source engine).

Maybe I could play it on 1440x900 resolution at Medium instead of 1024x768... I can only wish.

*EDIT: Didn't notice the ''very,'' I thought you said high.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

"Have more fun punching out Korean soldiers with 'Crysis: Wiiarmed', now with realistic input through the Wii-remote and nunchuck to control your left and right arms!"

You need $2000 to afford those minimum requirements!

^_^

Soon I will buy my Radeon 4850.
