A hand holding a biological brain and a robot. The brain consists of a collection of neurons cultured on a Multi Electrode Array (MEA) which communicates and controls the robot via a Bluetooth connnection. Scientists in Britain announced that they had stitched together thousands of rat neurons into primitive brains capable of controlling the movement of robots.

Meet Gordon, probably the world's first robot controlled exclusively by living brain tissue. Stitched together from cultured rat neurons, Gordon's primitive grey matter was designed at the University of Reading by scientists who unveiled the neuron-powered machine on Wednesday.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Wow, next they can try and make a robot with a human brain that can talk and act like human beings.

Ummm... Am I the only person who thinks this is freaky?

This will lead to the creation of the Terminator....we have been warned

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

I'm a person with a very very liberal viewpoint on all the science things like stem cell research, genetic modification and all of that and even I think that putting living matter inside a metal body is a bit creepy.

holy crap soo we will see cyborgs running and saving tech world

Awesome.

You people believe Hollywood too much. It is possible to make a intelligent robotic entity that would not be harmful. Ever see Robocop? :)

Seriously, I think this is cool. These type of advances helps out amputee type work all over the board and also helps understand the brain even more which has countless benefits.

This is pretty cool
