Nintendo will definitely hit us with something big. Aside from the frequently updating Brawl site and a few magazine features of Corruptions, they've been extremely quiet about anything their biggest three games. Two out of them still don't have a release date, and even the one we have is uncertain.

They also haven't announced any major new games in months, and we all know they have a habit of saving their big shots for E3.

Dunno about the other two, but I guess they'll have something as well. Their shows were nowhere near as awesome as Nintendo's last year, but they might've taken some notes since then.

Who needs the biggest E3 ?

Sony for sure ... but Nintendo and Microsoft needs a big one too !

Microsoft needs to continue to make plenty of new game, to steal Sony game exclusivity (==> multiplateform), and to be close (or even superior) to PS3 game graphism ...
Halo is a too much targetted game that alone cannot make all the work.
GTA exclusive content + MassEffect+Bioshock should help
They have to rule out their hardware problem right now because it begins to make some hype damage that will not stop to increase.

Wii : from 7 to 77 years old :))))
Nintendo needs to show that a big ammount of third party game are coming to Wii (they have to enter in the multiplateform gaming with the 2 others) and continue to make "special game" using their special controller : things that cannot be on PS3 or Xbox360.
They have to show Wii is a true console for "PS gamer" and, in the same time, continue to OPEN the market to the "very casual gamer" that have NEVER buy a console and now nothing to FPS/RPG/RTS world. With this new market, they are already selling lot of console. They have to open it more and more and more.

PS3 : Why buy an empty 600$ box ?
Sony need to show people why they have to pay 600$ for their console without considering BlueRay player.
They have to show amazing GOOD exclusive game with good gameplay AND AWESOME graphism. They have to show that if people pay so more for a PS3, it is because the console is able to have game than Xbox360 can simply NOT HANDLE.
They have to show innovating things to compete with Wii like the HOME, little big planete or even EyeToy based game (eye of judgement/singtar).
It is not too late for sony but this E3 is one of their last hope.

But I believe Sony & MS will try to hype a couple of games. There would be a war between Halo 3 & Killzone 2. Yes, I think Sony will show the new killzone, and it would be rather spectacular ( graphicswise... I won't expect anything really new but amazing graphics) . Both would be overrated. I don't see Nintendo making any big big new announcement...

Same as the previous question I think... Nintendo won't show new hardware in E3... They would let MS & Sony to kill each other violently. I'd be pleased if they showed anything new though. (I love SSBB and Mario Galaxy... but we need new fresh IPs)

Sony, that's for sure. I don't like ps3 nor psp, but they are beasts... really good pieces of hardware. They need to, they have to show as how good they are. Microsoft has to remake x360... they need to fix the red lights of death problem. And they need to fix it NOW... and with a prize cut as well... 400€ is too high at this moment... maybe they will lose their war agaist sony because of this. They should have cut the prize many months ago (xmas 06), because they are losing it's momentum dramatically fast.

You may say I'm going nuts... but I think sony will. Sure, wii will have a lot of support... but we do know this would happen... Sure, MS has a lot of support, but I think they will lose exclusivities this E3... I think sony is wating for this E3 to return to the hype. I honestly don't like sony... but the have one of the best marketing division in the world... and a lot of money. Besides... a lot of programmers like to do the best good loking game (like Team Ninja), and this fact assures some exclusivities.

I think they'll get crysis... And THIS is a halo killer (I'm a WiiPC gamer... Farcry was amazing)... On the other hand... Maybe x360 will get crysis too (has they have "contract" with MS relating to DX10).

Either MS or Sony need to reign E3...

MS needs to because they are going straight to a downward spiral, they lost their momentum. What's more... We, PC gamers, hate them for all that games for windows shit (I have Xp in one PC, vista in another... and games & vista = bad performance + more ram). They have a good system... but I see some Dreamcast syndrome in the rest of the world aprt from United States (not for MS being like sega, it's more like, very good console, very good games, bad marketing, bad decissions, console sunk).

Sony needs to show a lot this E3. If they don't impress us this E3 or in pre-xmas campaign, Ps3 is reaaaally out of the war. In my opinion, they will start a recovery campaing during this period... and I think ps3 will take off slowly. It has potential to do it... in the long term. Anyways, if the console sunks, they'll deserve it.

As for PSP, I think it'll continue it's recovery (game terms... UMD is really over). I see good games know, altough they depend on the success of DS. If DS continues to show good games (as the new zelda...ohh, I want it now!!! :D), PSP only can pray to maintain it's decent 1/3 market share.

So, MS and Sony need to reign... but they have to show a lot if they want to beat Nintendo... I think Nintendo will reign, it's their momentum, and they are doing things the right way.

Microsoft as a company (i hate them... but with love... they are not that bad... I have linux too and it's not so super-good, altough I prefer it over vista or xp. But at least they know what people want (how they bring us what we "need" is another case )

Nintendo for it's philosophy (IMHO, it's the best one). Teenagers will say it's childish... but it's one of the most matures of all game = fun, not game = movie or game = supergraphics-at-sucking-30fps. In fact, my 7 year old cousing is mad for not having a PS3 right know... and my mother is mad because she can`t find my DS Muahahaha. And, well, I am 22, and counting all my friends we have every system at our disposal... and believe me, nothing, nothing, nothing it's better than a wii party... (talking bout gaming only)

Big exclusivities as Halo are clearly superultraoverrated (any PC gamer knows this... sure, multiplayer is great and all... but in PC it's better...and with mouse!)

Nintendo. Outside of a few titles, the Wii controller has been really taken advantage of. I think MP3: Corruption and some previously unshown titles will take better advantage of motion controls.

It's going to be a close race between MS and Nintendo. Nintendo seems to keep things closer to the vest, so they will probably have more surprises and I'll given them the edge.

Microsoft. I don't think they are just going to roll over and let the Wii blow by the 360 in overall sales. I still think the Wii will pass the 360 because of its poor showing in Japan but I think a price drop announcement will increase the 360's sales and delay the inevitable.

Fuck Prime 3. They just screwed it by taking out, or rather, never putting in online multiplayer. But SSBB looks hot. (Confermed online multiplayer.)

Nintendo needs the biggest E3, to prove themselves to the gaming world that they are "really" back and hopefully everyone will take the WII more seriously because so far I've got the feeling the WII is nothing but an experiment to developers (mostly Japanese).
