Forums - Sales - Hardcore gamers casuals whats the difference.

The Hardcore are the people who buy a system mostly at launch! Who follow a system before it launches and who get excited about this ONE game (Super MARIOOO GALAXY anyone?!... ...Just an example...)

Also... They own the most games for a system in comparison to 'the casuals'...

Example: I own 28 Gamecube games... Whereas my friends own 6, 8 and 13 respective (Where they guy who owns 13 is more interested in games than the guys who own 6 and 8)....

And: The hardcore can be found in the internet forums... Casuals... Well, they just play some games.

THE NETHERLANDS

Around the Network

Basically it says only 2% of the gamers are hardcore. I, as probably may of us, fall under avid console gamer (although I am close to the avid pc gamer).

An article I seen on another site, talking about the report basically said that the heavy/hardcore gamers are getting the 360 and/or the wii.

I think "hardcore" is a load of shit. We should re-make the categories:
Light Gamer
Casual Gamer
Heavy Gamer
Addict (formerly Hardcore)
