Forums - Sony - Does PlayStation need a mascotte?

many games could be the "mascot"
kratos, snake, gran turismo, and the big one is the sackboy.
sackboy is most likely the "mascot"

Sony had Crash, then they sold him off.

Oh and what's a Mascotte? Is that french for Mascot?

Some people want the sackboys to be Sony's new mascot but those things are pretty ugly IMO.

*gasp*

I don't care about your opinion!

I love sackboys!

OT:

I think that Sackboys are the next big push for a PS mascot.  They're so cute.

lol... i agree. how could u possibly believe the sackboy is ugly?!?! they r so cute!!!

I wish the would release life sized Nariko and Elena Fisher dolls(action figures?). I don't know if they would be considered "mascots" but I'd have fun with them.

Sackboy and Kratos...each recognizable , each has a niche, each is so marketable (bites tounge, avoids another 'Sony Marketing Department' soliloquy)

PSN: TheGodofWine (Warhawk / R2 / MotorStorm PR)

AND

PSN: Skigazzi (for KZ2 and future games)

No it doesn't. PS built itself by having a little of everything not just focusing on FPS or platformers and wacky characters. Having a mascot now would defy the PS origins

Just like how backwards compatibility is a key aspect of... oh wait.

PS3 is still backwards compatible with PS1.  :P

It's not just you though.

Everyone acts like Sony abandoned b/c and you can still play PS1 games, which still has a hell of a library.  :/
