Not my DS, but when I was younger I smashed my gameboy screen with a head-butt (Damn you Warioland!). So I pretended to almost falldown the stairs and drop it. My parents were just glad that I didn't hurt myself so they got me another one. A year later I kind of smashed that one with a head-butt as well.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
