Why do people make bold predictions with nothing to back them up?
Where's the reasoning for such numbers joseph, perpride and obieslut. That's more like wishful thinking going by the current install bases and trends.

Wii - 105 million
360 - 15 million
PS3 - 225 million

My prediction judging by the sales today…

 

Wii 100-150m but fore the 10 year ore so lifespan it will be on the market it will sell about 200

 

360 30-35m and that’s if they don’t end it and release the xbox720

 

PS3 40-45m and if you consider the 10 years on the market and with the price at 250 ore less and with the blue ray and brand name it will reach 100m ore more homes

 

Yes the next gen machines will be released within the next 4-5 years but that doesn’t mean the old ones will not continue to be on the shelves

Sorry guys but I just don't think 150 million is that redicolousley high of an estimate.

It has not even been a year since Blu Ray won the format war not to mention the fact that the video game industry is a growing one as far as I know. If Sony sticks to PS3 as long as they keep saying they will than 150 million units is not extremely high at all.

I remember when Xbox and Gamecube were somewhere close to 40 million consoles behind PS2 and I still had fanboys telling me that they would beat PS2. I'm not trying to make a blind prediction I'm just saying I don't think 150 million is as high as you guys make it seem.
