I've decided to cease OE development, and leave PSP scene.
The reasons are various.
One of them is the time it consumes, which i'm losing from other things.
The other is related to my security. I didn't like Sony menaces to PS3 hackers.
I think it is better to leave now rather than end paying the consequences.

Talk about a bummer ... 

Damn, and here I was waiting for 3.50 OE...

Well, does this mean that people will have to start buying games for the PSP?

Was Dark Alex the main creator of custom firmware, thus meaning, he stops producing updates, which means that PSP owners will be forced into upgrading their firmwares to 3.50+ to play the latest games? 

I heard about this a while ago and yes its a bummer, but I heard 3.50 will still come since there wheren´t that many changes from 3.40, also there are others who can continue his work, what really sucks is that Hombrew devs. are beeing bullied by Sony, thats not cool, lets just hope it takes a while for games to need 3.50 (fingers crossed for God of War) oh well lets hope Dark_Alex returnes when he has more time and Sony realizes that Hombrew is good for PSP sales.

Homebrew is good for PSP hardware sales, but bad for PSP games sales.

In an ideal world, Sony embraces the homebrew scene and they have a mutual respect for each other allowing homebrew to be run on any PSP with any firmware, whereas copies of games are now allowed and cannot work.

With the news that there is an official ISO loader in the latest firmware, this would be great if it allowed for homebrew to work...but had enough protection to stop game copies.

Either way....we need the PSP games sales to go up or it will cause an early death of the great PSP.
