Neither number(s) include PAL, and I wonder how accurate the US is, since VGC has changed their sales gathering methods since either released (EM was released in the NPD + 10% days for the 360).
At any rate, it's an OK to slightly good JRPG. It's about 30hrs. No ultra-major flaws...It just can't stack up to LO, BD, or ES.
The story is so by-the-book it's not funny. Lost Odyssey's was executed much better, the soundtrack and music were far better for LO, BD and ES.
Battle system wise, EM was pretty good outside of the "press a button, and have the CPU win the battle for you". The golem collecting was nice. The casino on the X360 version was stupidly easy to get the last-level golems early on, breaking the gameplay.
Overall, the primary issue (in my mind) is that any of the big-3 current X360 JRPG's have more of everything EM had. It's certainly not a bad title for $10-15, but don't expect a revolutionary, or amazing game.
Ranking X360 JRPGs (of the 4 mentioned), I'd give:
Lost Odyssey: 9.0
Blue Dragon: 8.75
Eternal Sonata: 8.0
Enchanted Arms: 7.25
Solid, but not spectacular. An enjoyable game for 30 hours of a mediocre PS2 RPG that somehow managed to be on X360/PS3.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
