I know its not really a FPS but I simply dont like First-Person games at all. Theyre all terrible from what Ive played. (007 GoldenEye being the exception)

Ive seen gameplay and played a bit of Corruption and was not sold. First-Person games imo need to do something different like Mirrors Edge (Want it...NOW!)

If Metroid goes third person I'll buy it without question. Its the only way to get me interested in the the Metroid series.

Your loss. The first one is one of the highest ranked games of all time, and deservedly so.

I discovered Metroid thanks in large part of it being in first person. I doubt metroid will ever go into third person, we already have zelda for that.

Ratings mean nothing. Id rather play Pokemon Snap then GTAIV :P

It does do things different compared to standard FPS games (as with yoru example; Mirrors Edge).    If all youplayed was a little bit of Corruption you may not have been sold because the controls take some getting used to.

The Metroid prime series is called a First Person Adventure for a reason.  It's not a typical FPS at all.

I almost did, but I decided to buy it anyways and I've never looked back since then.

My favorites series is Metroid. I was in love with Super Metroid, and I absolutely love Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission...

But Metroid Prime 1... wow, just wow. Is currently my favorite game ever. The level on immersion and details is incredibly. You should play Metroid Prime 1 first. Metroid Prime 3 is good, but is more like a FPS.

Metroid Prime 1 is a pure FP Adventure.

Man, I want to go play the first one again right now. That game was so bad ass.

Almost but then because its metroid so I played it.

No I have never play a metroid game apart from the DS demo.
