Forums - Gaming - The most accurate predition made on VGchartz!

So in your title was your incorrect spelling referring to perdition, or prediction. Your "prediction" outcome falls more on line with the definition of perdition.....me thinks.

Noun 1. perdition - where false prophesizing (predicting) sinners suffer eternal punishment!! (At the hands of VG Chart Members)!!

Great prediction, not! In order for the PS3 to overtake the Wii in worldwide sales the Wii would need to take a sharp drop in sales like 20,000 units a week WW. The PS3 would need to make a huge leap with sales like 500,000 units a week. It would have to remain like that for 104 straight weeks.

You would have been better off predicting the PS3 overtaking the PS3 in WW sales in 2010.

Using your calculations, in 104 weeks the PS3 would have sold 66.61 million. The Wii, 33.38 million. My maths are bad but not that bad! I belive you may have over egged the pudding some what.

It was an exageration. I would not waste my time trying to figure out the actuals.

I think it is all possible but it won't happen.

Reason: Somewhere in there.... SONY is going to screw up again.

Sooner or later SONY will start to make less mistakes.....

 yea your right

out of the 10 years sony has been in the game they lost one console gen......

Microsoft lost every single one..........

Nintendo lost 2 console wars................

Wait hold on here no you are wrong!

............

not only do you make the highly improbably statement that the PS3 will ever be greater than the Wii WW, but you say it will actually happen in less than 2 years? lol.

I think you are joking, but, lol.

I don't know why you think the machines will stop selling in 2010...

Hell I don't even think the peak year will be until 2009. 2009 is gonna see something like 28m-35m Wiis, 10m-12m PS3s, and 6-8m 360s sold.

2010 could still be 27/9/6

2011 ~ 20/7/4

2012 ~ 13/4.5/2.5

etc

Long time before this group of machines sells less than 20m let alone 10m

i think its possible, but i also believe that there is a very high chance this wont happen.
i say 85% it wont, 15% it will.

I think that Michael Jackson is overrated, and Thriller was pretty much crap without the video to go with it. =D

micheal jackson overated?? r u being serious??

  • 750 million records sold!
  • First artist to sell over 100m outside of america
  • Biggest music tour of all time
  • Biggest selling album thriller 104m
  • won more awards than any other artist

and talking about the thriller album

  1. First album to have 7 top 10 singles
  2. 8 grammys won
  3. greatest music video thriller
  4. 37 weeks at no1
  5. greatest pop song billie jean and beat it!

You clearly do not know anything about music best to keep your mouth shut!!

I have a theory, It was Quincy Jones that produced Thriller and Bad. Maybe he was the tallented one. What followed was kinda shiity so maybe Jackson wasn't all that.  Plus i love MJ but that fucker has disgraced every person who ever bought his albums. He is a pedophile unconvicted, like Simpson is a murderer proven innocent. dont believe the lies

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
