yes.. Actors are supposed to act. But in a different personality, not cross race barrier. Not even Tom Hanks can pull off an asian, and clearly he is not stupid enough to try.

Robert Downey Jr. just portrayed a white man who turned himself black. Gary Oldman has portrayed a black man in True Romance. The Wayans Brothers have even played White Girls. Fuck it, last year Bob Dylan was portrayed by women and blacks.

Memoirs of a Geisha? She was Chinese.

Any film you see that comes out of Hollywood with Native Americans in it? They're all Mexicans or Chinese or White actors.

Haven't seen True Romance.... but if base your opinion on movies like "White girls", I don't know what else to say.. except those movie never took itself seriously. Now, if this movie is going to try to compete with the likes of Dark Knight or Iron Man, it better gets its characters right.
