Airports and schools take all bomb threats seriously, but when our government gets a serious warning about a threat of an attack from one of the greatest intelligence agencies in the world, and we laugh it off and kick them out of the country?  It just seems backwards to me.

I'm not sure the government should be modeling it's responses to liken that of public schools, and again, I think we serious lack context and knowledge on the warnings.

And Appolose, I think that you can't see the facts staring you in the face because of your personal tastes.

Bush purposely avoided international interaction before September 11.  He had no interest in terrorism, and was working with the Taliban... why don't you do some reading before forming opinions.

Some of these are before he took office, but really show what the pre-9/11 landscape looked like for Bush.

What opinion?  All I was doing was asking how you knew.

Anyways,

First link was about posibbly aiding the the citizens of Afghanastan, which did need aid, and was approved by the U.N., and they were investigating whether or not it would work out.

Second link showed Spain hates Bush...not sure what your point was, since the only quote there was from someone who hated typical Republican ideology; and yes, I know, a lot of people hate Bush 'round the world.

Third link again show Afghans suffering, and not Bush getting all lovey-dovey with the 'ban.

4th was short.  Do I have to buy it to read it?

Anyways, I noticed no links for my question you quoted.

Geez.

Gotta love the liberal logic... 8 years of do nothing Clinton in which we saw the first WTC bombing in '93, the embassy bombings in Kenya, the USS Cole, etc., and virtually no response from the administration (the only reason we caught the guys involved in the '93 bombing was because they were dumb enough to try to get their deposts back on the trucks they rented).

And let's string up the Bush Administration for war crimes involving Iraq and let every member of congress off the hook (Clinton, Kerry, etc.) who gave the president permission to go to war. You libs were ready to vote in Kerry and Edwards 4 years ago and look how that turned out... Kerry is once again a nobody and Edwards is in the middle of a scandal where he cheated on his wife (suprise!) who has cancer AND possibly fathered a child out of wedlock to boot! Imagine if that story came out while they were in office, what a farce that would really be... their approval ratings would be even lower than Bush's (not Congress' though... even Bush can stay in the mid 20's... Congress has trouble climbing higher than 14% these days)

The media hates Bush simply because they are in with the Democrats... you never see anything negative about Obambi save for Fox News of course and the occasional McCain ad... and so far from what I've gathered, the left has nominated Obama because he A: will bring Hope and Change to America, and B: is not old like McCain. Damn old people, wasting away our money for stupid shit like Medicare and Social Security.

Bush and Clinton both sucked as presidents but for different reasons... both were corrupt but Clinton had the benefit of riding the economy bubble (which burst shortly after he left office, what a coincidence), and Bush simply hasn't been a good leader since the aftermath of 9/11.

Wow.. did some really said Bush?? Now we Europeans know why you amercians re-elected him into the office... you were brainwashed.. and aren't some of you too young to remember how good life was when Clinton was president?? We Europeans did love you then... really we did... really..

Yeah, because we did nothing but kiss your asses for years and suck up to you.

I love the whole phony storyline about how the US sqandered Europe's goodwill after 9/11 by invading Iraq... so you guys only support us after we are attacked and are down and humbled on the world stage, but once we start reasserting ourselves and invade one little country without your absolute permission you go and get all angsty on us?

Boy, you guys must REALLY be hating on Russia right about now, I'd hate to be in their shoes when they taste the wrath of some strongly-worded UN resolutions!

Take it from a foreign perspective, George Bush is as bad as Hitler according to our view. Your government has let him screw over your own country, its economy, its military, its international standing and to be honest you might never get this back. Iraq was a lie, michael moore was right, and the longer your media lie to your people, and ours since we are part of the western sphere, the world will not respect or consider you as any more valid than any other corrupt, violent and oppressive un democratic regime.

btw, i mean your government first and foremost, not necessarily yourselves. It is very difficult to actually change things in your government but you have to change it. It has caused misery and suffering to lots of really poor people, who don't actually hate americans as much as you would believe. Attacking innocent people doesn't help that attitude ofcourse and my country we did the same. Australians went to Iraq like the British, Dutch, Spanish, etc/

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Liberal logic? Clinton had the highest approval rating since FDR.  Bush has like... the lowest approval rating since... the Civil War i don't even know...?  Ever maybe?

It's not liberal logic it's everyone but conservatives logic.

This is what a lot of people... including europe doesn't get. Attacking Iraq wasn't the problem. Not being prepaired to take care of iraq after the war started was the mistake.

Pre-Iraq War the majority of Iraqi's were pro US... and many wanted us to invade. It was only after bush botched everything up that popular opinion turned against the US.

Had Bush

A) Had enough troops to secure vital places to iraq's infastructure as they moved, rather then just US interests.

and

B) Kept Sadam Hussein's Army in employment and weeded out the Hardcore bathists from those in the party simply for the job.

Iraq would of been on it's feet with minimal trouble... the Iraqi's would of been happy and everything would of been great.

The US of course would of still hated Bush when they found out the foriegn intellegence was wrong... but everything else would of been fine.

I was against the war.  However there was a correct way to do it if you were going to do it.

Bush didn't... they went in seemingly without a plan and fucked everything up.

Its a Douche VS Turd Sandwich proposition honestly =p

But its an easy choice. Bush.

Clinton's sex scandal has nothing to do with it, it was a very very long line of screw ups in everything from selling technologies designed for use in nuclear war to the Chinese to crap like "Don't ask Don't Tell". Lets not forget that the majority of the things people hate Bush for, Clinton is also guilty of as well (ie abuse of presidential power, torture, wars.

Oh and every time someone gives Clinton credit for the economy it makes me want to gag. And don't even get me started on the idea that raising taxes helps the economy...

Clinton was easily among our worst presidents. Honestly the best thing Clinton ever did was get caught cheating. It takes the attention away from the real reasons he was a terrible president.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Clinton is better than Bush
