Anyway, if LBP was released for the PS3 and later released for the PS2 for the above reason, what would happen? |
And what if Sheep had wings?
The PS2 couldnt run LBP on its best day. Lets just set graphics aside, you need storage for all the levels, both made and downloaded and you need to connect to PSN and be able to play with 3 other people. Both of these are virtually non-existant on the PS2 outside of its failed HDD and Modem for FFXI.
No, LBP is going to be pushed by Sony to get some Sales on the board software and hardware wise on the PS3. By the time it releases the PS2 should actually be virtually dead anyways.
I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.
This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:
"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"
"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"
"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

Financial losses? Sony generally makes a lot off profit and they surely have 900 million set aside for a takeover. Sony want's complete control over their music and you can't really blame them. 900 is a bargain for waht they got in return anyway.
Playstation has absolutely nothing to do with this. Sony just released a few2 new cameras and they are just as relevant to the PS3 as this takeover is. Same company, other interest. You may see Sony offering it's music on PS3 soon though.

PSN name: Gazz1979 (feel free to add me, but please put your Vgchartz name in the message!)
Battlefield 2: Gazz1979
Then we would have a really ugly LittleBigPlanet with less physics (which is the key of LBP) and crippled online mode
Yay.

no, just 1/3 of it
Let's put all games on the ps2. There's no need for next-gen consoles.
it would sell alot more. 140 mil user base? Heck, I'd buy it :)

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Create, Share, Play.
Create = No storage
Share = Crap/no online
Play = Crap physics and no online.
The onlything left is low res sacks.
