If it goes through the EA servers, does that mean I don't have to meddle in friend codes? Please say yes...please say yes.

@Onyxmeth: That's the impression i got. Well Bozon said "No need for friendcodes" and that if you have "EA friends", they're automatically at your friend roster and your Wii friends can be transferred to EA friends roster, but he didn't say it was at EA:s server. Since it doesn't need friendcodes and you are using your EA friends roster, i just assume it's on EA:s server (if there's the blue WFC tag in the box, it's Nintendos, if not, it's EA:s).

But no friendcodes anyway.

Good score, but I don't trust IGN anymore (not to say the game won't be good, but I don't trust IGN).

Simply, the Wii is all about innovation. EA attempted an innovative approach to a stagnant series (Madden), and it works very well. Just because they added an EXTRA AND COMPLETELY OPTIONAL mode for new gamers doesn't mean that it's been "casualized."

I swear, some people will take the opportunity to whine about anything and everything concerning Wii games.

The people complaining about more accessible controls remind me of the HardCore computer wizards that complained about Machintosh and Windows.

If they had their way everyone would be using DOS 7 now- and many people would not buy computers because they would be too hard to use.

But you know that is probably what they would want, so that they can feel special. I think all of this Core vs Casual debate is just about not wanting to share our pass- time with women and seniors.

I look at comic books I use to read them, I got picked on- now days though the things that I loved rake in 100's of millions of dollars at the theatre. Sure some of the stories have been tweaked but its still mostly is the same story I loved and enjoyed. I even think some of the changes are improvements- (for instance instead of a radio-active spider a geneticly engineered spider).


I also want to add Madden 07 and 08 had better and close scores to their 360 and PS3 brothers.

Huh? Whos not being nice? It would seem you are the only one with that rude tongue of yours sticking out. Oh crap now I did it too!

A few quick thoughts.

1. The review verifies the 9.0 that the game received from Nintendo Power.

2. The review was somewhat biased against much of the Wii's user base (casuals) -- and still gave it a good score.

2a. An argument has been made in some quarters that many Madden players are really casual gamers because that is all they play -- but that is for another discussion.

3. The fact that this game is living up to the hype is really good because the NCAA 09 for the Wii did not receive good reviews (NP gave it a 5.0).

4. Did anyone else pick up NO FRIENDS CODES (game-specific codes) needed!

Wii version has some extras.

It's got the regular madden hardcore mode... but then added on is a 5 on 5 mode.

Also it's got a special feature that lets you diagram audbles.

It's basically Madden +. Kinda like force unleashed. Depends what your looking for. More gameplay options or better graphics.
