I don't recall the 360 launch being anything but craptacular as well.

Wasn't the total number of downloads of the FREE demo on XBLA around this number?

I simply cannot believe Too Human has 850k CONSUMER preorders (esp. in just the NA). This places it in Mario Kart or Galaxy sales levels.

Retailer preorders (i.e. MS sales) - yes, its more than possible. I would expect MS to ship something around 1m units to retail in the US at launch.

I think everyone is waiting for "real" reviews though...

I doubt that very much, may be 80,000 if they are lucky. The game is not bad but it is far from a triple-As title.

I predict may be Ninja Gaiden 2 numbers in the first month, may be a bit higher.

No way this is true.  Even if this game was hyped to be "AAA zomg amazing!" it wouldn't have this many pre-orders.  Popular and long established series struggle to attain numbers like this (outside of the biggies, the smallest of which is probably MGS), let alone a new IP.
