Forums - Microsoft - Chat problems on XBL

Does anyone besides me have major issues with chat on Xbox Live?  I don't know if it's my headset, my internet, or both.  None of my friends seem to have any trouble and can always hear each other when they play together.  It seems like everyone always asks me to repeat myself or they just can't hear me at all.  Or sometimes they'll only hear the last couple of seconds of what I said.

I know my internet can be spotty sometimes, but my connection to the game always seems to be fine.  (BF BC lags a lot for me, but I think that's a server issue with EA.)  I get flawless connections to games like Burnout Paradise and Tiger Woods.  Do you guys think it's worth trying a different mic?  I've also thought about hooking directly to my router instead of using wireless when I play online.  Any suggestions would be great.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this issue.  I don't really care if I'm yapping to my friends the whole time, but it would be nice if they could hear me when I need to tell them something.

Could be your headset man. Internet problems are usually associated with making your voice sound like a hellicopter.

i used to have problems with the mic i had for 360, during games it seemed ok, but normal chat seems to lag. i only have a basic 2meg connection. mabey thats y

i come across same prob on psn

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

It is probably just your headset. I finally had to replace the one I got with my Xbox360 when it released just a few weeks ago. If you just want a wired one they go for 20 bucks around here at Best Buy. Im sure you could prolly find one cheaper online.
