Yes, the problem is that there is no information usually to debate. It's always, no way PS has sold that much. Or I don't think the price cut would have helped that much. Had this poster but the time into a detailed post to show how he came up to the 19.5 we could debate his techniques. Now, there's not really much to go on.

There are no 'techniques'.
I'm looking at the same numbers everyone else is. It's not that complicated.
I had no idea that this site was actually trying to portray itself as an actual source of retail sales tracking data. I just assumed that this site was accumulating official retail sales tracking numbers.
Did anyone here ever take the time to stop and think about what it means to do retail sales tracking? And how much effort and resources it takes? NPD is a huge company and their data has been valuable enough for the games industry to be subscribing to their data for many years. And that entire firm is just able to handle the US market.

The PS3 is a around 4.5 million behind the 360 in worldwide sales as multiple industry people have stated over the past couple of months. They are looking at the exact same numbers I am and everyone else is.
Falling victim to 'it's true because I want to believe it is' is something that has been going on since the dawn of the console gaming market.
