Do those ultrasonic devices really work? I'm always a bit skeptical when it comes to things like that.

The ultrasonic gadgets did work for us for a few years actually, but they are starting to become immune to them now (either that, or the gadgets themselves are just getting old)

Awesome Buddy Holly referance!!

I found that finding Daddy Long Leg spiders and setting them in a bathroom or someplace. They will take care of the crickets. Worked for me!

Try boric acid. I use it for ants and roaches. It took care of that problem. I am not sure how well it works on crickets but it is worth a try. Just put it in those dark places where they like to hide.

I give this thread a 9.7.
