Forums - Gaming - hello wii360...see ya later ps3

Do not forget to get Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata and Bioshock. All great 360 games cheap now. Oh and dont forget the awesome Halo 3.

I don't think he would have sold it just because one game lost exclusivity if you can still get it on the PS3. RPG player or not, you can't put the blame all towards one game for a main reason to sell it. But since you stated F, did you mean Final Fantasy Versus? oh wait............last I checked........ it was still exclusive, but I think you meant the original one.

I would've done the same thing too, but I would have only got the Wii with more games since those games are really fun with the motion controller. Having the 360 is just the same as PS3 so it would be like selling a system for a few better FPS games+ better online play with a FEE. Multiplatform games are still on both systems so if you got a PS3 or 360, it would've made no difference. I hate FPS games with a passion too so I would never get a 360 because they have a good section of FPS games. Plus I already played Fable on the PC and it wasn't that great to me either.

I just got back from a 2.5 week vacation, and it is kind of sad when I find a couple of post hating on the Wii or 360 because he did this. It's just sad bullshit. (mainly to the guy saying that people are selling Wiis and 360s other than Ps3s like this thread was really talking about that anyways.)

OT: Great job, score! I do have to admit, I feel like getting a 360. (I have a Wii and Ps3.) The Ps3 hasn't been really surprising me like the Ps2 ever did. And, honestly, I wonder if it will. The Wii has also surprised me alot. (though, not to the extent of the ps2.....yet.) Also, 360 at 200? Who's dumb enough to pass up that offer?!

Anyways, congrats!

I want to know what you mean by Sony doing nothing though? They have been improving the PS3 greatly. PSN is much better, ton of features added through firmware updates, tons of quality PSN titles.

They also have a lot great 1st/2nd party titles this holiday season.

I think he was talking about the let go of exclusives that made the console appealing when it was first unvealed (hint: Starts with a ''F'').

he didn't have any RPG games to begin with.

No offense, but why did you have to reply to that? It's not the main idea I was trying to show here. o_o

He's probably a very old gamer, meaning he probably already played an RPG before. He probably didn't have time to add his whole video game collection yet, and I'm definitely using the word probably too much.

yeah, i didnt have any rpgs for my ps3 coz there weren't any out worth owning? and no, folklore is not an rpg.

and Shmupguru is mainly correct. yes, sony is doing alot in terms of first party games and psn updates and improvements. but they actually let a lot of 3rd party exclusive go multiplat which was one of the reason why the ps3 was appealing to me in the first place. with dmc4, gta4, ffxiii and almost all thirdparty games going multiplat. the ps3 is now on level grounds with the xbox360 in terms of games with a little edge to the x360 due to it being out a year longer.

i will be geting mass effect, lost odyssy and eternal sonata sometime soon and also tov.

@ssj

with the money i made from the ps3, id just be able to get an average gaming pc. can run most games on medium or low settings but not enough umph for me.

dont get me wrong. the ps3 is a wonderful machine. and i loved every minute i spent playing it. but i want my rpgs now. and saddly, the ps3 has zero. the wii has a tales game coming out soon. the xbox360 already has mass effect, lost odyssy and eternal sonata already out. plus tov is already in the horizon. ffxiii and xiii vs will probably release near 2010 and thats just to long to wait.

and yes, i do agree with you. having a ps3 or an x360 is almost the same thing. but for the price of my ps3 consloe and games i get a wii and an xbox360 with more than double my original game collection, you just cant go wrong with that.

That was a great deal. Two consoles plus lots of games in exchange for a PS3 with games of varying quality.

well done. Now finally you'll taste the next-gen

if i have more money, i'd have kept the ps3 and bought the wii. well, i did have enough money for a used wii but thats it. just a wii with zero games and just one wiimote.

with the wii's nstall base, the games will come. good games, bad games, crap games. much like the ps2 :P

There are more Wii rpgs than tales of symphonia dawn of the new world. Hopefully at least fragile releases this year. I think we will see more at TGS. ALso if you like Srpgs get Fire Emblem. Be warned its one of if not the hardest game this generation on home consoles. If you want more info on them I may be able to help. Though if you want to play RPGs DS is the way to go. :) The ps3 is an excellent console though, and I';m sure there will be more Jrpgs for it in the future.
