Forums - Gaming - Lies Gaming Companies tell...

Sometimes companies can make up lies to make their inferior "dated" console look like it's more powerfull then its newer more powerful Rival:

Lol at blast processing. I think about this commercial when people try to tell me that DVD is more powerful then Bluray.

i lol that

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

LOL hey i loved my SNES!!!!!

BUT, that was funny. and LOL @ people who say DVD is better? i dont think people think its better just people dont think they need it....But those are the people with a 20 inch LCd and no surrond sound so they have no clue what they are talking about anyway lol.

I remember those commercials. Sega was pretty good at "attack ad"

Yes they never told us that the Game Gear was a "Battery hog"

And yet the genesis still had tons of great games. Its amazing how little power actually matters.

"Why do they call it the xbox 360? Because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away"

I hate the lie that MGS4 is more realistic than Genji 2. Just because people don't apreciate Genji doesn't immediately make MGS more realistic.

Tease.

Well it's more of a term dreamt up to suggest something technical

"The Super Nintendo's CPU is clocked in at 3.58 MHZ. Meanwhile the Sega Genesis / Mega drive's CPU is clocked at 7.67 MHZ. That is more then twice as fast as the one in the Super Nintendo. Because of that the Genesis games tended to play and scroll a bit smoother.

The Sega Genesis / Mega drive was capable of generating the next frame of the world ahead of where the character was, that is what makes sonic run so fast. The SNES certainly had a leg up on sound and graphics but the CPU in the Genesis was faster, and that is a fact"

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Someone actually tried to make that argument. wow.

Also, what's really funny about that first video is that the SNES was overall more powerful than the Gen.

Street Fighter 2

Arcade

Super Nintendo

Genesis

Even on Youtube you could see that the clockspeed on Genesis did nothing to improve the quality of its games. SNES was better quality in every way.
