Forums - Microsoft - So my 360 just ruined my Soul Calibur IV game.

READ THIS REPLY! READ THIS REPLY!

Sorry just needed for people to look here and not skip this over. Sorry to hear about your SC IV. Go to Gamestop and purchase a used copy of Soul Calibur IV. Swap out the disks and tell them they sold you the one with the ring. Tell them you want a refund and not credit or some other game. Problem solved.

Just go rent the game from blockbuster and switch your game with the one you rented, tadaa problem solved. btw does the game still work?

wow,as brilliant as that is.cant blockbuster make you pay for ruining it? obviously, the next person who rents it will probably say something. and theyll probably put the pieces together and itll come back to you.

well... i know that the blockbuster in my area is trying to sell some of their copies that are like that.  i returned a used game that came like that and next time i was in, i saw it back out for sale.

GET a Ps3................. when will you learn when the rings of death come back

Cheap plastic parts are ment to break down microsoft should remove "soft" from their name and call themselve microscratch.

Don't bloody stand your 360 up vertically...!

lol so many "cool"...you look at me!

It happens because if the surface it is on is even slightly not level (even a "flat" floor) the angle at which the disc will therefore be pointing could be enough to catch with the insides of the dvd drive.

If its placed horizontally, then gravity will easily sort out any minor problems in the levelness of your surface\floor, will also be more secure as its not resting on its edge, but its face of the disc.

Idiots, you should know better than to place your console vertically!

I would take the disc in and complain that I rented a game that doesn't work and ask for a refund as well as keeping their good copy of the game.

You know the insta cure for RROD scratched disks and XBL fees right?

Take it back and claim that was how it came. I did that when my PS2 chewed my F1 2006 game, and the store guy gave me a full refund.

No problemo

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD
