A bunch of people on this site have the game and are playing it non stop. Well ok, there's the occasional stop to tell us how awesome it is. No one has mentioned anything like that yet. And believe me, if that were a big problem, someone would. Well I can only speculate, I'd speculate that it's just a rumour

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I was playing it until my son stole it and now has it on his Wii...little shit! :0P

We have had no problems and its been played on a a plasma screen, HD screen and PC monitor.

I've watched my brother play the game a couple times and I did notice these pixels. I initially thought it was simply the old TV he was using but it did turn out to be a result of the game itself. The pixels are fairly subtle, only showing up here and there and usually only across a couple lines on the screen (the worst I saw maybe appeared across a line 10% of the screen). I would also think that most wouldn't even notice them even if they did appear, especially those that are playing the game for the first time. I was disappointed to see the this minor graphical hiccup, but it in no way takes away from the RE4 experience.

I have only read about the red pixel effect twice, and both were from launch Wii's. It happened with certain games, like Rayman Raving Rabbids. I doubt it is the game, but rather, a problem with the Wii.

Interesting, because I had not heard about there being a green pixel effect, just a red one. Also, I had not heard anything about it since December.

The green/red/purple pixel effect is caused when the Wii overheats from playing too long, therefore damaging the GPU, which is what creates the weird colors. This can be cause when you leave your Wii on standby mode (The light is orange) for a long time. I recommend you get an intercooler for the Wii, I noticed one at Gamestop. If not, don't play the game for too long. I did the same with Zelda and it caused the weird pixels to appear.

However, I think this is only a temporary problem, because I've never gotten them again.

Yeah I have the green pixel problem. But it happens with every game I have: Godfather, RE 4, Zelda, Elebits, even wii sports.

I heard that green pixels appeared from the console getting too hot while Wiiconnect24 was on, but I have no clue what really causes it.

Yeah I got my console in December so I wonder about that.

I've the game, played 2 hours, haven't notice any green or red pixels, no no.

Predictions for December 31st 2008:
Wii 38,000,000
DS 84,500,000
PS3 17,000,000
PSP 41,000,000
X360 23,000,000

I've had my Wii since launch and I've never even heard of this problem. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but I've been playing RE4 and know a good deal of people who have as well and I've never heard of the problem.
