I love rock. I play guitar, mostly 70's and 80's classic rock (Dio, Don Dokken, Stryper, Motorhead, Black Sabbat, etc...) but I also have my romantic side... I know there are a lot of power ballads (Poison, Skid Row, etc.) and I love that music too, but sometimes I like to hear another kind of music.

So, I like the music by Juanes. He used to play a long time with a rock band called Ekhymosis, but then, he decided to sing alone, another kind of music. The tunes are very good, and the lyrics too.

Anyone from here likes Juanes music?

He's pretty decent for hispanic rock, but I prefer MANA. Yes, he's very popular in the U.S. He doesn't get much airtime outside of spanish radio, but hispanics will sell out Madison Square Garden to see him.

 I like Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor (something like "I'm nothing without your love"), La Camisa Negra (The Black Shirt), A Dios Le Pido (I ask to God), and a lot more... here are some videos.

 Mana... very good band. I love Huele a tristeza (Smells like sadness).

Never heard of them. I know about most music, especially rock. I'm sure the general consensus doesn't know about him either. There hasn't really been much import music lately but there are exceptions and they are usually girls.
