I'm going to buy MGS:TTS for Gamecube, a PS2 AND MGS 2 and 3 to play this game. Wait, I forgot, I have to buy a PS3 for it as well!

But the game pwns, that's for sure.





Though I don't think it'll top my Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl experiences as best games of the generation.

 I kinda agreed with half of what you said until I saw your sig and knew you were much more of a fanboy then Squilliam.

 

Anyway, MGS is a good series. The stories have always tried to act more deep then they really are, but  they're not always terrible. I'd list them as "good". The combat for MGS1 was great. 2 was questionable, then Snake Eater had me hooked again. 4 just seems to have clunky controls. The bosses were a great bit of fun though.

Kojima seems to get far more credit then his due. Seems we all forget that he isn't the only one who made the game, hmm? And the PS3 deserves the credit for having a game like this, at least where credit is due.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

It's much easier to point at someone and yell "fanboy" than it is to actually support an argument, disolitude. You should know that by now.

 Just pick-up the 80GB bundle for MGS4 and the essentials collection. It will be cheaper and easier all around.

neither can any PS3 fan thinking FF13VS would be the better of the two before FF13 went mulitplatform...but they're flammed anyway

All the guys trolling stop! It's an opinion thread, if you dont agree just leave. Remember next time when you post an opinion and someone trolls your thread that you done it.

This should be in Sony thread though, apart from that theres no harm in this thread. MGS4 and PS3 haters leave the thread now.

 Why? This is a thread discussing whether or not MGS4 is the best game of the generation. If you want a bunch of people to just agree with you then it should probably be on a MGS4 message board. Everyone should be free to disagree if thats their opinion. It is not trolling to have an opinion.
