Forums - Sony - Will the PS3 get a price cut this year?

I think you mean a 65nm GPU, no?

Ups my bad. I just remembered that a die shrink was coming. And I think one for the CELL to 45nm is also in the cards.

Price cuts are always a good thing for the consumers. Consumers do not care whether it means a loss of money to a greedy corporation.

A $50 price cut in America would be a great thing but PS3 prices would remain the same in Europe they have to subsidise the american price cuts. The american economy is going terribly at the moment with the sub prime mortgages, recession looming and the ongoing war in Iraq.

Greedy corporations don't sell their products to consumers for less than they cost to make so they can be at a fair price. Sony did.

They all get back at you in one way or another. Never mix business with friendship. Corporations are only in business to make lots of money.

Sony will not price cut to fight off MS this holiday season. They will however be making system bundles for the holidays. If they drop price again, they will be reporting even billion dollar losses by march.
