Forums - Microsoft - Analyst: Pending 360 Price Cut Could 'Significantly Impact' Hardware Sales

you have to love how depending on how you decide to select your data you can make a situation look totally different.....

without saying that the 40 first weeks of the year might be the less important of the year.....

So how much is a 360 going to be in America now after all these price cuts....$30?

They might as well just give them away

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

what momentum are we talking about here???

Sony cannot afford to lose money per console any longer. The price cut before MGS4 was great, but Microsoft is using its 3rd year price cut advantage. They know that Sony is losing $400+ per system they sell, so they cannot fight back this year. If they do, they will report billions more lost next year.

I hope PS3 does a counter punch and cuts consoles prices too within a couple of months just before the Xmas sales.

I hope so too then the missus might get me one for xmas.

That way I can play all the games I like.

Oh, so if I'm understanding it right, he's saying that a change in prices could change hardware sales trends.

I'm glad we have analysts to tell us these things... I don't know what we'd do without them.
