Forums - Microsoft - Braid Review for those curious about this game (Best game on xbla)

I was a little hesitant to purchase the full game, as I was having trouble getting the two puzzle pieces near the frame in the first world. Eventually something clicked and I figured out how to get them, and I was instantly sold. I couldn't help but laugh at how straightforward, yet ingenious it turned out to be.

I paid for the full game and it does not disappoint at all. I'm about halfway through the 5th world (for those who haven't played it yet the first "real" level is world 2 so that's a little over half done) and I absolutely loved the "parallel universe" time trick. Being in 2 places at once is just about the coolest gameplay innovation I've ever seen.

they are essentially the same cards with a different amount of points(1400&2800 for $20&40+13%tax), but the codes are country specific so i wouldnt be able to redeem them

Ok. That sucks. There's no way to get your 360 to register American? I would see if there is. If you can find a way to redeem american point cards, I may be able to help you out with the rest.

I just played the free trial and I have to say it was pretty fun. Hopefully I'll be able to download it by this weekend.

I just finished the game and let me say...WOW! This has got to be one of the most innovative and clever games in existance. I feel sorry for those of you unwilling to shell out the extra 400 points for this masterpiece. Every world is unique, and the epilogue was mind blowing. The story is one of the finest i've seen in a game, and here it is hidden inside an XBLA game. I cannot recommend this game highly enough. Absolutely brilliant!

Oh and the Speed Runs are WTF difficult. Only 4 people on the leaderboards have actually gotten the achievement, and I don't suspect many will end up with it. Good luck for those trying.

Possibly, but it's not guaranteed. Also wasn't Puzzle Quest at $15 for like 9 months? I couldn't wait that long for Braid and neither should anyone else. Think about this. It's 400 extra points. What were you going to do with an extra 400 points anyways? Buy a few gamerpics? Buy some really old arcade port? I payed $50 for ICO on the PS2 and it didn't take me any longer to beat that than it do for me to beat Braid. Do I regret either? Not a chance. They are both going down as two of my most treasured games ever, and I was lucky to get Braid for $15.

i was planning on getting a 2800 point card soon. so i would have points for banjo and portal. assuming both are 800 would leave me 1200.....but since this is 1200 that doesnt bode well for the others being 800. meaning i would need another 1400 point card.

and when i look at the price of these points...in the past, for the same price of a 1400 point card, i have picked up crackdown, perfect dark, and saints row. so then ive got to justify the purchase of this one game over 3 retail games i could get.

I think you have a misunderstanding here.

This game isn't good "for a XBLA game."

This game is a good game period. A really good one. Better than Perfect Dark Zero, anyway.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

perhaps it is better than that one. is it better than all 3?
and since i already have that one, it wouldnt really matter as i would be picking up something else.

Better than N+ in my book. The songs are the best.
