• Bioware to announce a PS3 exclusive at E3?

Today, community director at Bioware confirmed that they will be attending E3 this year.

" Yes there has been a great deal of speculation of will we or won’t we be at E3 this year. We didn’t want to confirm anything until we were sure that the cool stuff we’re going to be showing there was set, ready and very, very cool. Now that it is, we can confirm what many of you had already guessed that we will be at E3 this year.

Now that I have confirmed that we’ll be there, I will now disappear to leave you to speculate about what coolness is that we will be showing there. You won’t be getting any more hints out of me, just the usual teases about how very cool this is gonna be."

You can pretty much guarantee that Bioware will show off new Mass Effect trailers and playable demos as well as make more announcements on the Sonic RPG.

However PSU would like to add to the hype by speculating that Bioware will announce their PS3 exclusive they've been working on at E3. We first heard about the exclusive when we met with Richard Vogel, Director of Operations at Bioware back at this years Game Developers Conference. He mentioned that a game was in the works and that it would be for the PS3, but other than that he reluctant to reveal any details.

• Sony to reveal massive changes to the XMB and PS Store at E3
• Folder support for all sections of the XMB including Games, allowing you to organize your plethora of demos/ps1 titles/PSN games
• User Profile page accessible directly from the XMB that shows off the your gamerscore, profile info and trophies. The page will also be viewable in your Home apartment
• PlayStation Store is getting completely redesigned to make it more console accessible and to pave the way for the additional content Sony plans to release by the end of the year (videos, movies, music, etc).
• You'll be able to select your trophies for use as a t-shirt graphic in Home so everybody can check out your Loco Roco skillz without having to go to your house.

Yeah if things go as planned then this could really be the turning point for the PS3. They should still drop the price to about $479.99 to inrease sales and be competitve with the Elite.

Finally some really promising news for the PS3 that I don't see how anyone could bend to negativity.

All the best news seem to come right before E3. Except for Nintendo, who keeps everything secretive until then. Hell, I am suprised they even released the Box Art for Metroid Prime 3.

I find the XMB quite comfortable and clear ,its not neccesary to change it in a great way .

In game access is one thing that the XMB media bar needs. I was actually thinking that it needed better folder organization or something just today. Glad they are going to address that.

Umm you should just call this a rumor. The only evidence of Bioware working on a PS3 game is from some gamers who attended a Video Game Live concert in Edmonton and said he told them they were working on a PS3 game. What's strange is that he's mentioned this game officially in interviews but always called it a game for next generation hardware. It could be that those gamers heard that as well and assumed that meant PS3.

Of course it could be for the PS3 so if it is then you guys are in for what will very likely be a good game :)

And where did he mention that the game is exclusive to PS3? Given the history of Bioware's xbox titles and Sony's apparent unwillingness to pay for exclusives, I can't see this happening - especially given PS3 sales ATM. That being said, I hope this game is KOTOR 3. And the PS3 may end up with the best console version.

Wow. Have a link to that Legend? I'd be curious (honestly curious -- that's not a "prove it or youre a liar" comment).

Even I can tell from this statement that the ANNOUNCEMENT is a rumor, even if the game isn't (And maybe it is?) From the article: However PSU would like to add to the hype by speculating that Bioware will announce their PS3 exclusive they've been working on at E3.

"Adding to the hype" by "speculating" is about as far as you can get from an official press release, and it's probably better to wait than to do this type of thing. If BioWare 1) doesn't announce the game or 2) says there is no PS3 exclusive at all (As Legend claims), then you look a lot sillier than if you had not said anything at all.

Or, seen from a different angle -- now, if BioWare announces the title, it's just BioWare confirming the rumors you've planted. If they don't announce the title, or if there is no PS3 exclusive coming at all, then suddenly it seems like the PS3 has lost yet another exclusive to multi-platform status.   

I have heard a long time about Bioware making a PS3 game and still waiting to find out what it is... very anxious :)

And the XMB definitely needs an overhaul: Separate PS store bar, and better clearer looking interface would be welcome among other things.
