Ok is it just me or are some people just dense?

Im sittin in Gamestop doin my job when a 20 something guy walks into the store. He wants to know how heavenly sword works. I show him. He looks intrigued by the visuals and action on screen. I let him give it a whirl. He tinkers with it a little and says..."Where is the jump button?"

I am in class, chillin with some friends. We all have PSPs and Crisis Core. We all start playing, discussing tactics on how to beat certain missions. Suddenly my teacher walks over and wants to try it. I hand him one of mine. He starts to button mash repeatedly like a retard spouting "This is Stupid! Where is the jump button?"

Have my PSP in the school lounge pounding away at PATAPON! A small croud starts to hover over my shoulder as I play.  Out of nowhere someone yells "CAN YOU MAKE THEM JUMP!?"

OMG WHAT IS WITH SOME PPL! Why the hell does EVERY game NEED a JUMP BUTTON? Does a jump button mysteriously improve gameplay? Many ppl of an older generation of gaming cannot comprehend the thought of a game without jumping abilities like Crash or Mario. These people are very weakminded in my opinion. That just reminds me of my friend who is always like "How do I shoot?" and Im like "THIS AINT A SHOOTER ITS AN RPG!" GOD, that irks me. *sigh*

Have any of you ever experienced that?

where is the jump button?

God Im deff one fo those weakminded peopel u speak of, I cringe when i cant jump.

I want an accessory for all systems that is a jump button. All developers has to support it for all consoles/handhelds so when someone asks that question I pull the button out, plug it in, and make the character jump.

these people you met are casuals who didn't play a game since nes/snes, at that time almost every game involved jumping.

Epic post though. But there are some games that should require jump buttons if all the other games of the same genre have it, at least that's what I think. Heavenly Sword should definitely have a jump button, since it's an action ''hack 'n slash'' game, it would probably improve the gameplay and the amount of moves you could pull off against the enemy, a bit like Ninja Gaiden II and Devil May Cry IV (which are amazing by the way).

Also, a shooter that doesn't have a jump button now is pretty much old school. Now, there is a limit on how high you can jump though (and how fast it makes you go, Source engine says hi)...! =P

So, in conclusion, if it can improve the gameplay, I say why not?
