I hope what you're saying is right, because as far as I know, I've read more comments about people complaining about the huge amount of cutscenes than praising what Kojima accomplished with the game, a bit like if they've never played a MGS game before and expected something... regardless if the game is good or not, alot of ppl waited for it to release before getting their PS3, hence the term "system seller." I know a couple of friends that are 360 owners that want one and have yet to buy a PS3 and their main reasoning is for MGS4 and i'm pretty sure that they are not the only ones, which makes the amount of systems MGS4 sold very hard to peg.

Trust me, I'm probably the only guy who thought MGS4 didn't have enough cutscenes! I wished for more, but whatever, they were all epic at least! XD

@ SnakeEyez: Yeah, but isn't a highly praised game considered a ''system seller'' as well? It doesn't have to be an already established IP to get the tag, no? Heck, I'd recommend Mass Effect over Halo 3 for a Xbox 360 ''system seller!''

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

I say wait until NPD numbers are announced to know what the true sales numbers are for the month.

Not always, look at games like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus or Okami

It's not that we aren't saying GoW2 couldn't be a system seller, but since it is the second game of a series and its predecessor was on the same system, most people who would buy a 360 for GoW have likely already done so. If GoW was on the original Xbox, then GoW2 would be more of a system seller.

Then I guess it depends of the view for each people. In the general meaning of it, I guess it makes sense, but I know a lot of my friends bought a PS2 in it's late lifecycle because of Okami, since someone told them it was a bit like The Legend of Zelda and stuff. O_o

But yeah, I get it.

 First of all, sorry to burst your bubble.. but if you didn't already know Left for Dead is also coming on PS3, and im sure Gears 2 will be good, but will DEFINATLY not be a system seller, for 1 reason, since its the second game, most people that want it, already have a 360. And you also seem to forget the killer games that are coming out for PS3.

My hopes are all for PS3.

First of all, left 4 dead, I'm pretty sure will be an awesome game and one I really want to play, but it would not be the reason that the 360 outsells the PS3 in the winter. 2nd, yes, he denied it, what other games were denied at first? Bioshock, Eternal Sonata, Lost Planet, Final Fantasy XIII etc... Seeing a trend here? (BTW it's EA so...)

Whether, its coming or not.. knowing EA its probably going to go multiplatform, you don't know forsure yet, neither do i.. and seriously, who cares? i wasn't even going to get the game anyways, doesn't appeal to me.. i was just making a point. I'm going to be getting my hands on amazing ps3 exclusives anyways this fall/winter.. (Little Big Planet, Socom confrontation, Resistance 2) are my main games for this year.
